Boycotts Support
Union Workers

NABET-CWA Local 25, our union brothers and sisters at WGRZ-TV and WKBW-TV have put a call out to the community to boycott the local news programs on those two stations.

Members of the local at both stations have been engaged in contentious and unsuccessful bargaining for several months now.

WGRZ-TV is owned by the Gannett Corp. WKBW-TV is owned by a company called Granite Broadcasting. While NABET members are engaged in separate negotiations at the two stations, they are running into the same problems -- most seriously pay and benefit reductions. The Guild supports NABET’s efforts at achieving fair contracts and encourages Guild members to honor the boycott.

There is also a continuing boycott against Regal Cinemas for their anti-union stance and refusal to hire or recognize union workers.
