ART COMPETITION

We are so excited about our 24th National Art Competition!!!! This is going to be a great year. We are certain most of you will be involved with this national event. This year's competition is open medium. We have chosen ORIGAMI.

COUNCIL GUIDELINES FOR NATIONAL ART COMPETITION

1. All participants must be currently registered youth member of the Buffalo and Erie County council of Camp Fire Boys and Girls.

2. The piece of art may be produced at home, school, church, camp, in a club meeting, a private art class, etc. It may have been entered in other competition.

3. The piece of art must have been completed during the period from June 1996 until February 23, 1997.

4. The object may be the effort of an individual or a group working together.

5. There are no restrictions as to the size of the finished product. Remember it must be transportable.

6. All entries must be submitted to the Buffalo council.

7.Art shall be judged on its original excellence and creativity, not on size of work, theme or individual.

• Entries can be judged by age or program level.

• Entries should be judged on their artistic excellence. Craft kits or patterns are not appropriate.

DEADLINE: Entries must be in the Camp Fire Boys and Girls office by February 23. More information including the entry form will be published in the January/February issue of Camp Fire Today.
