Propose 1999-00 Budget

The Treasurer and the Finance committee will recommend the budget proposal published in this issue of the Frontier Reporter for approval at the August local meeting.

As reported in the December 1998 issue of the Frontier Reporter, to keep in line with CWA, Guild locals, including ours, have changed their fiscal year from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 to Oct. 1 to Sept. 30.

Last year, the Local accepted an abbreviated budget for Jan. 1, 1999 to Sept. 30, 1999.  The current proposal is a 12-month proposal for Oct. 1, 1999 through Sept. 30, 1999.

Tax audits and reporting will be adjusted accordingly.  The Local's auditors, P. G. Sippel and Co., are aware of the change.
