ART COMPETITION SPECIAL OFFER
GREAT NEWS ARTISTS!! David Schueckler, owner of The Tree House Toy Store, has donated gift certificates for the first, second and third place winners of the art competition. 1st place is a $35 certificate, second place is a $25 certificate and a $15 gift certificate for third place. Plus he will display the first, second and third place winners works of art in his store window.
And on top of all that David Schueckler is also going to help you do the best origami project you can do. Besides offering all the origami supplies you will need, The Tree House will have Mrs. Tanigaki, an origami instructor, at the store every Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. So stop by on Fridays pick up your supplies and a few pointers from Mrs. Tanigaki. The Tree House is located at 754 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo. For store hours call 882-1322.

AND HERE'S A REMINDER ON THE RULES
FOR THIS YEAR'S EVENT
COUNCIL GUIDELINES FOR NATIONAL ART COMPETITION
1. All participants must be currently registered youth member of the Buffalo and Erie County council of Camp Fire Boys and Girls.
2. The piece of art may be produced at home, school, church, camp, in a club meeting, a private art class, etc. It may have been entered in other competition.
3. The piece of art must have been completed during the period from June 1996 until February 23, 1997.
4. The object may be the effort of an individual or a group working together.
5. There are no restrictions as to the size of the finished product. Remember it must be transportable.
6. All entries must be submitted to the Buffalo council.
7.Art shall be judged on its original excellence and creativity, not on size of work, theme or individual.
DEADLINE:Entries must be in the Camp Fire Boys and Girls office by February 23. More information including the entry form will be published in the January/February issue of Camp Fire Today.
